Cassel Landscape Architects partnered with United Way, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Head Start Child Inc. and others in the OLE (Outdoor Learning Environment) Coalition to provide high quality learning landscapes for children across Texas.  CLA provided the Master Plan design for the Fountain Plaza Head Start Preschool and Construction Administration services for the playground installation at the Forbes Head Start Preschool. Both projects transform previously barren playgrounds to include looped tricycle paths, passive and active rainwater harvesting, mud kitchens, dramatic play stages, naturalistic sand play areas, vegetable gardens, outdoor picnic areas, loose parts play areas, habitat gardens and more!
