One of my loves in the field of landscape architecture is the adaption, remediation and reuse of former industrial properties. While in grad school, I received the Stamm Travel Fellowship and had the awesome opportunity to travel the US and Canada photographing, studying and analyzing post-industrial Landscape Architecture in North America. There are so many blighted properties in need of remediation and transformation. Landscape architects are playing a huge role in this healing process. I came across some photos from that journey recently and thought it would be fun to share some on the blog. Enjoy!
Scott and I will soon celebrate five years at the Glenhaven Residence! We bought this house in October 2011 and have been tinkering with the landscape every weekend since. In honor of this upcoming anniversary, I thought it would be fun to post a few pictures of the yard in the early days, before we got to sweating. Here's to five great years!
ACLA is happy to announce that our new website is live! We have several recent projects that we will add to our Work page in the coming weeks. We will also add photography of previous projects this Fall when the weather cools down and the plants perk up. Please check in to see these updates periodically. Thanks for stopping by!
